It is a sad day for us music students, but such an incredible time for you and your family! Scott, you have done so much for me and countless other students. You deserve every bit of happiness that 24 hours of creating art and music will bring. Hope to still see you around ... and hopefully it won't be long before you call me for a play date with Rachel! I only had you as a teacher for one semester but it honestly felt like it was longer. You inspired me to live life and do what I love. I thank you Scott Faris, for everything. Not only were you a great teacher but you were a great friend. It saddens me to hear that you wont be around much anymore, the halls of the music building will definately not be the same without you. Here's to you Scott, a musician, a teacher, a friend. My hat is off to you. You are an inspiration to all to go out and make each day the best and make life your own.
